Brandon Payne is a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist originally from Mansfield, PA. Brandon currently plays in and around the Pittsburgh, PA area. Brandon plays a wide variety of music from all decades and genres as well as an extensive original music catalog.
Brandon was gifted a white Percussion Plus drumset from the Arnot mall while in high school. He began listening to albums and playing the drums along to his favorite tapes and cds.
After a few years, he soon put down the sticks and focused on his guitar playing. Brandon learned to play guitar by listening (more than a few times) to artists such as John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, Jeff Buckley, etc. Brandon started a band in high school "Free Popcorn" in which he played the drums but also was learning and playing the guitar.
Playing in multiple bands in college (under.escape) as well as after college (Mr. Jones and Me, The Usual Suspects and Slant 6), he had the enjoyment of playing all kinds of shows all over the northeast as well as Las Vegas, Nashville, Dublin, Ireland, and Aberdeen, Scotland.
